In the middle of the floor there is a pool of brightly coloured but difficult to define mess. The different colours flow into each other and build both beautiful and disarming patterns. The American artist Lauren Szold belongs to a postfeminist generation which has been highly influential during recent years, including Janine Antoni and Sue Williams. Szold's installations refer to the female body as well as to male painting. Her mixture of flour, cellulose, and paint turns one's thoughts to extremely feminine and threatening discharges.
