Elin Wikström: "Åsa who has given it to Bill risks not getting it back and Pål who has got it from Pia risks not being able to give it back"

In a society in which no one can exist outside of the Capitalist system there is all the reason in the world to reflect over values which do not directly correlate to objects. It is reasonable to ask oneself if it is easier to give than to receive? Can one give away things just for the sake of it? How does one receive a gift which does not demand something in return- not even gratitude? Elin Wikström belongs to a generation raised during the 1970s for whom it is by no means certain that development necessarily means progress. Wikström's investigations test the limits and the values of the capitalistic system while also contemplating the nature of people's morals.
