As several other yBas they were educated at the internationally renowned art school Goldsmiths College of Fine Arts in London. In several of their projects the Wilson sisters have taken advantage of being twins. The fact that such background variables as class, race, age and gender are identical for twins makes possible interesting studies of how the individual is affected by social environment They have previously experimented with artificial stimulants, e g drugs, and also reception of different types of media - their latest investigation deals with the phenomenon of the film trailer. The purpose of the trailer is to, by putting together all the best parts, produce a condensed version of the film's high points. The result is often so condensed as to be incomprehensible. In their own trailer the Wilson's have taken this to the extreme by including scenes from many different horror films which take place in a classic "haunted house" - two well-known films from the repertory are: "Carrie" and ''The Exorcist". | |||
