Johanna Billing's work usually incorporates many people and this exhibition is no exception. The common denominator for those involved is that they all belong to a younger generation who are, perhaps, on the way to becoming public figures. The result is a work which is contemporary in a somewhat different and very direct way. Johanna Billing is in her final year at Konstfack, Stockholm (The University College of Arts, Craft and Design). "Straight from the hip" is her first solo exhibition at Ynglingagatan 1.
