Karin Johnson: "Peep-Peep" In "Peep-Peep" the viewer is invited to take part in an optical cat and mouse game, where perception oscillates between nonsense and meaning. It is a game with a much more realistic content than say "Jeopardy" (where someone asks a question and someone else answers) - on the optical playing board the dividing line between subject and object has been erased at least since the time of Hansel and Gretel. "Peep-Peep" is rather like a visit to the optician. All of us have at one time or another answered the optician's question:''Is it better now, or just about the same?". "Peep-Peep" is Karin Johnson's fist solo exhibition since graduating from Umeå Academy of Art in 1997. More Karin Johnson at Y-1: | |||
